Deamon
I'm working on a new track for a new, secret record-project for the moment. It's a "dark synth" collection that will be released in the end of May hopefully.
The idea for the song is something I think all people have experienced some in their life. A person, a loved one, who disturbs your days, sucks your energy and suck in general. But you don't have the power to kick them completely out of your live - even if your highest wish and ambition is to do so. In short - a Deamon!
The song is problematic in it's simplicity. The intro is something like stolen from a 1970 horror flick, to increase the tempo in the first verse to finally go to something like a uptempo synthpop tune in the Chorus. I hope it will fit into the project :D
The things left is the voice tracks. I working with the effect chains as we speak. Initially for the recording I use the TC Helicon VoiceWorks plus (mostly as a mic preamp) and then my Eventide HS3000 as a reverb unit. Ok, I do know one is to record the voice dry - but I'm really not a singer so I prefer some effects on my crappy voice :)
Some fun gear is used in the track;
Initially; a real 1970ies Solina for the strings. A Waldorf Q is used throughout the track for string fills and lead and the chorus bass sounds. A ESQ-m is used for the whistle sound in the chorus. A Korg MS20 is used for some base sounds in the intro, the brand new Moog Voyager Old School is used for the basses in the verses. Haven't found the space for the Korg Polysix or the Prophet 5 yet but perhaps. The only VST instrument in this track for the moment is the drums - Battery 4.
